It's that time of year again where as a client, your lashes are falling out more than usual or as a lash technician your clients are coming back to you with gappier lashes when your retention is usually 10/10... you dont know why and you wonder, is this normal?
It is normal! This is what it is and how you as a client and a lash technician can help.
Lash shedding season is that time of year when the seasons are changing drastically, ie. winter into summer, summer into autumn. At this time of year we start to shed all hairs. Whether this is just your lashes, eyebrows, leg hairs, we start to loose it! However, we notice it much more when having eyelash extensions on as the fallout will be a lot more visible, which can be annoying but there is nothing much we can do about it!
Â
So dont be harsh on your lash technician - this is what we can do together to help!
As a client
â¨Coming in for your infills more regularly
So if you normally come in for a 3 week infill, if possible, you could come in for a 2 week infill instead to help retain from all of your extensions falling out
â¨Washing your lashes consistently
With regards to the shedding this will not make your natural lashes stay in longer but it will prevent your extensions falling off prematurely from all the oil build up.
As a lash technicianÂ
â¨Give your clients a heads up!
As we know this only happens twice a year and usually lasts around 2-3 infills a time. We all dread that âhey girly..â message so by just giving your clients a heads up, this can be avoided as theyâll be educated!
